Executive Order to Provide Emergency Tax Relief to Small Businesses
Forgives $75 Million in Small Business Loans
$25 Million for Low Income Housing, $12 Million for Rental Housing Works Program
$94 Million In New Grants and Investments for Diabetes Treatment and Prevention
$10 Million for Victim and Youth Services, Law Enforcement

Unemployment Insurance - Executive Order waives the charging of COVID-19 unemployment insurance benefits to employers. This Executive Order prevents Maryland’s contributory employers from having their experience rating negatively impacted because they had to lay off or furlough employees due to the economic consequences of the pandemic. If employers have questions read our Frequently Asked Questions. Also contact the Employer Call Center at 410-949-0033 or utilize the Division of Unemployment Insurance’s inquiry form located at labor.maryland.gov/UIHelp.
Funding- Last Call – Grant for Talbot County Businesses –Talbot CARES Small Business Grant program will close today, Friday, Dec 11th at 5pm. Business owners who have not yet received a grant have another opportunity to apply for a Talbot CARES Small Business Emergency Relief Grant. This is the last chance in 2020 to secure up to $10,000 from Talbot County. Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis until 5 p.m. on December 11.Apply here. Read more.
Funding – Last Call– Attention Kent County Businesses – Covid Business Stimulus Grant Closing on Monday December 14, 2020 at 5pm. Grants will be awarded until funds are depleted, grant amounts to be determined by available funds and number of eligible applications received. New Funding - Disaster Relief Funds for Fisheries-Related Businesses - The Maryland Department of Natural Resources is offering economic relief funds for the commercial seafood industry for those who have been affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. Applications available to eligible members of the seafood industry on the Maryland OneStop website. The deadline to apply is Feb. 28, 2021. Visit onestop.md.gov to apply.

Lighted Boat Parade in St. Michaels - weather permitting on Saturday, December 12th at 6:00pm Christmas in St. Michaels will have a special Lighted Boat Parade through the harbor.
